Assets ASSETS are an important part of everyone's daily life. They are the items you hold, or the skills you develop. As time progresses you'll gain more assets through your experiences and growth in inventory. The more assets you can get the more things you'll be able to do and the further you can reach with them.
Every person and creature will start with a set of three assets. They can be an experienced understanding of a single weapon (which should also include the weapon). They can be skills developed from experience or training. Or they can be other items or equipment which your character will have on their person. It is up to you to decide what sort of assets you wish your character to have from the start.
Assets can later be gained from completing quests. The assets you'll receive depend on what your characters do during the quests and the type of quest. For example, hunting quests will have a chance of raising your characters hunting ability of the weapon they used.

skill and items SKILL ASSETS can be of anything. It can be the understanding and training of how to use a single weapon. It can be a physical trait that one has a natural knack for or was further trained in with time. It can even be fishing or knowing how to crochet a hat really well. You are free to take these in any direction you like as there's no real limitation to what it can be.
ITEMS ASSETS are very similar to skill in the sense that they can be anything so long as it fits the Potluck setting. Each items will counts as its own asset so to have multiple items will mean multiple assets. Items can be heirlooms from family or friends, can be objects that would assist a hunter on a quest, or even be a mystifying talisman.
However it's important to know that talismans are enchanted accessories that can be worn for boosts in abilities or power. Sadly talismans can not be bought as the craft was lost with the age of time. Only way people can find them is through scavenging in the unknown or found on quests. Despite that, talismans can be exchanged for others with different boosts at the Forge, but each exchange is random.

armor and weapons ARMOR is the skin of a hunter, the hide of a warrior, and the defending wall between life and death. Many own a single set of armor while hunters and riders are owners to more. Armor sets can be crafted at the Forge at any time and be upgraded to finer and stronger sets. With the many fighting styles known in Potluck, armor can be crafted with two different purposes in mind. Blademaster armor are crafted with durability in mind. They are made for the hunter to withstand severe and constant beating and are the larger sets. These are made to be used with all close range weapons such as the great sword and dual blades. Gunner armor are lightly crafted with little obstacles to interfere with movement but block less damage. They are made to move fast in and be as agile to match s gunner's fighting style. They are made to be used with long ranged weapons such as bows and for monster riding. WEAPONS are a hunter's tool of trade. Without them, the most they can do is set traps in hiding and kick monsters in the face. Potluck has 15 official fighting styles between ranged arms, enhancing tools, to hack and slash weapons. Each style however requires time to train in, making each skill important to the person. A seasoned dual sword hunter would likely have a tough time swinging a great sword if they never wielded on before, let along lifting it. Here is a list of the different weapons and fighting styles:
