FOR A SHORT SERIES OF YEARS NOW, strange happenings have been documented within the heart of Gredonia. What once started as rumors of warriors riding beasts soon came to light the moment a ferocious Rathalos perched his talons on the spire of the capital hall. Alarmed by the swift monster, gunners quickly drew their arms to strike down this invading foe, but shocked to find such an aggressor be so...calm? His blood red wings where tucked under as he rumbled like a purring cat. Then suddenly, an unarmed hunter leaped from his back most calmly.

She was a female wyverian, and a well known one at that. She came with a message, a message that changed the world in one big sweep.

Riders where on the rise deep in the mountains as hunters abandoned their weapons to cling on the backs of monsters. It started with flying wyverns such as the paired rathian and rathalos. Their nests reached closer to settlements as encounters with the beasts became common. When attempts to ward off the monsters failed, they started to forge a symbiotic lifestyle. Then from there, few brave souls reached out their hands and eventually where returned with a clinging kindness.

Shortly after, the community of settlers where joined with monsters, forging bonds as unbreakable as a pact among brothers and sisters. They reached out further and soon found out that such bonds could be crafted with others as well. At first it was just true wyverns, then reached out to fanged, bruits, and more.

With the message said, guild members returned with the wyverian to see it be true. And it was more than true. Castles built into the sides of mountains where swarmed with monsters flying through the shy with all sorts of people perched on their backs. Letters where written out to every guild hall in near by, spreading the news to all three regions.

Though the talent is still new, riders from all regions slowly sprung up. Monsters other than the domestic kind are even seen casually strolling through cities and towns. And those who wish to master it the most, venture far into the mountains and become decibels of the first riders.



WITH THIS NEWS, monster riders are becoming a common asset to a character's life. Members are free to create characters with decently bonded monsters or can chose to start with a wild monster and build up their bond through roleplay.
